How to Get There
Forsthaus Grünow is located just under two hours by train and bus from Berlin. The train to Neustrelitz runs once an hour and connects to the 619 bus, which takes you to the "Grünow I" stop in about 25 minutes. Enter “Grünow (Meckl) I” as your destination in the Deutsche Bahn app or website to get a complete schedule.
The NEX/RE5 and 619 bus are both covered by the Deutschland Karte. If you have to buy tickets, it’s a lot cheaper to buy two separate ones: one from Berlin to Frürstenburg Havel and a separate one from Fürstenburg Havel to Neustrelitz.
The Forsthaus is a 15-minute walk from Grünow bus stop. By bike, the Forsthaus is about 45 min from Blankensee, 70 min from Neustrelitz, and an extremely scenic 100 min ride from Fürstenburg Havel.
Food, Camping & Environs
Cooked meals and beverages will be on sale throughout the event. Note that the closest stores, pharmacies, and groceries are 10 km away in Feldberg.
Bring your own tent, sleeping bag, towel, and other basic provisions. We're experienced campers at the Forsthaus, and we'll do everything we can to make things comfortable.
Children are welcome, but note that many of the performances are intended for careful listening in a silent environment.
Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, day and night.
Two beautifully quiet lakes are within easy reach of the Forsthaus: Dolgener See, about 2.5 km away, and Waldsee, about 4.5 km away. Müritz National Park is right next door, with forests, moors, lakes, rare birdlife, and the Serrahn beech forests, which were added to the UNESCO World Natural Heritage list in 2011.
Parking for cars and camper vans is available on site.
